CIRCLE Corporation was honoured to participate in the International Funeral Industry Symposium, held from 27-30 September 2023 in Santiago, Chile. The event was organised by the ALPAR Latin America Association in commemoration of its 35th anniversary, and focused on Understanding the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using the SDG Compass methodology to analyse strategies, processes and best practices within the funeral industry.
During the symposium, Nuria Capdevila Roig, CEO of CIRCLE Corporation, gave a presentation entitled: ‘Circular and sustainable funeral services and cemeteries: strategies, processes and best practices to drive sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda’.
In her speech, Nuria highlighted the growing importance of adopting circular and sustainable approaches within funeral services and cemeteries, aligning with the goals set out in the 2030 Agenda. She stressed that the need to address environmental and social challenges has driven a paradigm shift in the sector, requiring the implementation of strategies that not only minimise environmental impact, but also promote greater social responsibility.
